The Getafe City Council has opened the application period for subsidies under the Getafe Rehabilita strategy, endowed with €425,000. The line for elevators has €225,000 and the energy efficiency for facades and roofs has €200,000.
Residents of Getafe can now apply for new municipal aid to install elevators and improve the energy efficiency of facades and roofs. The call, framed within the Getafe Rehabilita strategy, has a total budget of €425,000 and the guidelines are available on the website emsvgetafe.org.
The line for the installation of elevators is endowed with €225,000 and is aimed at buildings of three or more stories whose works have been completed between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Elevators that have already received aid from the City Council or another public entity are excluded. The subsidy covers 21% of the cost, with a maximum of €35,000 per elevator.
The second line, for energy rehabilitation actions of the envelope, has €200,000 and applies to facades and roofs, and includes the possibility of installing electricity generation systems for self-consumption on collective roofs of residential buildings. Works that reduce the energy demand of the property are financed. The amount of aid reaches up to 25%, with a maximum of €40,000.

The Getafe City Council has also released data on the call for subsidies for housing rehabilitation, resolved in the first half of the year under the Municipal Housing Plan. Applications have increased compared to the previous year: a 300% increase in linings to improve energy efficiency, a 185% increase in window replacements, and an 86% increase in accessibility works.
The council attributes this increase to the simplification of the guidelines, greater dissemination in civic centres, and informative workshops by the Healthy Homes team.
Applications for the new aid for elevators and facades can be submitted while the application period remains open, with the guidelines published on emsvgetafe.org.
