The Fairground of Alcalá de Henares, located on Isla del Colegio, will open its doors this Friday, August 21, to become one of the major venues for the 2026 Fairs. Attractions, catering stalls, and booths for local clubs, regional houses, and political parties will be set up there.
The general schedule will be from Sunday to Wednesday from 19:00 to 3:30 hours, and from Thursday to Saturday from 19:00 to 5:00 hours. On Friday 21 and Sunday 30, closing will be at 1:00, as reported by the Alcalá de Henares City Council.
As is traditional, Children's Days will be celebrated on Wednesday 26 and Sunday 30 August, with discounts on various attractions. Additionally, on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26, from 19:00 to 21:00, Quiet Days will take place, during which attractions will eliminate sound emissions so that people with acoustic sensitivity can enjoy without discomfort.
On Friday 21 at 12:00 hours, the blessing of the fairground will be held next to the Ferris wheel, officiated by the director of the Secretariat for the Pastoral of Fairs and Circuses, Iván Bermejo Jiménez. Access for this event will be through the entrance of the Parque de la Juventud.
This year there will also be 'Plaza en Ferias' in Plaza de Cervantes from August 21 to 29, with catering booths to liven up the afternoons and evenings. Residents will be able to enjoy the festivities both at the fairground and in the city centre.
