Nearly 16,000 residents of Tres Cantos are already using the WhatsApp channel for Resident Assistance, which has accumulated over 160,000 interactions since its launch in 2019.
Almost 16,000 residents of Tres Cantos use the WhatsApp channel for Resident Assistance, a municipal service that has surpassed 160,000 interactions since its launch in October 2019. The tool has established itself as one of the main direct communication channels between the citizens and the Town Hall.
According to data provided by the City Council, the service has accumulated over 72,000 conversations and allows users to make inquiries, report incidents, or access various municipal areas in real time. The first deputy mayor and councillor for the Presidency, Javier Juárez, highlights that it promotes “not only a more agile but also a more direct attention between the City Council and the residents of Tres Cantos.”
The channel offers a total of 12 areas of interest, including the ‘Residents' Mailbox’, the ‘Mayor's Mailbox’, municipal news, home collection of items, and services related to Women and Equality and Employment. One of its main advantages is accessibility: it does not require downloading additional applications or specific technological knowledge, as it operates through a tool widely used by people of different ages.
Juárez emphasizes the importance of “continuing to offer simple, useful, and accessible tools for all residents, which allow us to meet their needs and maintain an increasingly close and effective communication with the City Council.” The City Council continues to strengthen the digitalization of citizen attention.
Residents who do not yet use this service can access it for free. They only need a mobile phone with WhatsApp installed, add the number 644 59 44 93 to their contacts, and send a message with the word ‘Hello’. From that moment on, they will be able to use all the functionalities of the channel.
