The district of Cerceda, in El Boalo, will celebrate its patron saint festivities from August 25 to 31 with a programme that includes tournaments, bull runs, novilladas, orchestras, and children's activities.
The district of Cerceda, part of the municipality of El Boalo, has finalised the programme for its 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, which will take place over seven days from August 25 to 31. The programme combines traditional bullfighting, live music, activities for the little ones, and community gatherings.
The celebrations will kick off on Tuesday, August 25 with a Mus Tournament, which will continue the next day at 18:00 hours. On Wednesday, August 26, at 19:30 hours, the Children's Day will be celebrated, featuring a DJ and activities organised by the Cultural Bullfighting Association of Cerceda.
Thursday, August 27 will be marked by races: at 18:30 hours it will be time for the Children's Race and at 19:30 hours for the adults' race. The day will continue at 23:30 hours with the Opening Speech, and from midnight, the Orchestra “Anaconda” will liven up the night until 04:00 hours.
Friday, August 28 will focus on the more traditional aspects. At 12:00 hours, a Mass and Procession are scheduled, along with a game of Chess in the Park. Half an hour later, children's games and the Foam Party will begin. At 13:00 hours, there will be an aperitif with a band and DJ until 17:00 hours, and at 14:30 hours, the traditional Macarronada will be served.
On Friday afternoon, at 19:00 hours, a session of Humor Amarillo is scheduled; at 22:00 hours, the Orchestra “Malassia” will perform, and from 02:30 hours there will be a DJ until 04:30 hours. The Festibús will operate at 03:00 and 05:15 hours to facilitate the return home.
Saturday, August 29 will start at 11:00 hours with the bull run of the cattle that will be fought in the afternoon, followed by the Children's Bull Run organised by the local bullfighting association. At 12:30 hours, the water inflatables and the Foam Party will arrive, and at 13:00 hours, the aperitif with DJ will take place. The Novillada Picada is scheduled for 18:30 hours, and the Orchestra “Ipanema” will perform from 22:00 hours.
Sunday, August 30 will repeat the morning schedule with a bull run at 11:00 hours, children's bull run, inflatables, and aperitif. At 13:30 hours, the Flamenco Dance “Alma De la Riva” and a bachata workshop are scheduled. In the afternoon, at 18:30 hours, the second Novillada Picada will take place, and at 22:00 hours, the Orchestra “La Tentación” will provide the musical finale.
Monday, August 31 will close the festivities with the Vaca Enmaromada at 18:30 hours and the Orchestra “La Tentación” at 22:00 hours. The street parties will have Festibús service at 03:00 and 05:15 hours for those who wish to travel without driving.
