Plaza de España in Mataelpino will host the Children's Macaroni Festival on Friday, August 21, a popular meal for children and families during the patron saint festivities.

The district of Mataelpino, part of El Boalo, will celebrate the upcoming Friday, August 21 with the Children's Macaroni Festival, an outdoor meal designed for the little ones and their families. The event will kick off at 14:30 hours in Plaza de España.

This activity is part of the programme for the San Bartolomé 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, organised by the El Boalo Town Hall. Attendees will share a menu of macaroni in a festive and communal atmosphere, aiming to bring together families from the municipality.

The organisers ask each participant to bring their own reusable plate and cutlery, a measure to reduce the use of single-use plastics and care for the environment during the celebrations. The initiative aims to raise awareness about sustainability while maintaining the tradition of popular meals.

The Children's Macaroni Festival is aimed at a child and family audience, and high participation is expected from residents of El Boalo and other districts, such as Mataelpino and Becerril de la Sierra, who will join in the festive activities. The square will thus become a meeting point to enjoy local cuisine during the festivities.

With this activity, the Town Hall completes another day of the patron saint festivities, which include religious events, dances, and activities for all ages. Interested parties can check the full programme on the municipal website or on the notice boards in the districts.
