The IX Meeting of Music Bands arrives on Saturday the 26th at the Plaza de la Constitución and the Teatro Jacinto Benavente hosts 'Under the Tent of Heaven' with tickets at 6 euros. The week includes workshops, cinema, storytelling, and events of the Patronal Festivals.
Galapagar faces a week from September 23 to 27 filled with workshops, cinema, literature, storytelling, and events of the Patronal Festivals. The highlight comes on Saturday the 26th with the IX Meeting of Music Bands, organised by the Banda El Bemol at the Plaza de la Constitución at 18:00 h, which is free to access.
The programme kicks off this Wednesday with two workshops. The first, Personalise Your School Supplies, for young people aged 12 to 17, takes place from 18:00 to 19:30 h at Punto Joven with registration at www.plangalapagar.es. The second, Essential Ingredients for Writing a Good Story, will be held from 18:30 to 20:15 h at the Biblioteca Ricardo León, with free entry until full capacity is reached and registration at biblioteca@galapagar.es.
On Thursday the 24th, at 18:00 h, the Biblioteca Ricardo León hosts a new session of the Masters of Horror cycle, featuring cinema and reading, for those aged 16 and over. Entry is free until full capacity is reached and requires registration at biblioteca@galapagar.es.
On Friday the 25th, the offerings multiply. Punto Joven proposes the workshop Scientific Laboratory, from 17:30 to 20:30 h, for kids aged 10 to 17, which is free with prior registration at www.plangalapagar.es. At 18:00 h, the Biblioteca Ricardo León celebrates Max and Jovi in Beijing, a storytelling and family workshop with free places until full capacity is reached, which can be reserved at biblioteca@galapagar.es. At 19:30 h, The Quixote of the Desert is presented, with live music from Alejandro Ares and Jimena Lacuna. The day concludes at 20:00 h with the Funeral Mass for the deceased members at the Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
On Saturday the 26th, the Feast in Honour of Our Lady of Solitude is celebrated, with a floral offering from 11:00 to 20:00 h and, at 20:00 h, a Holy Mass and the imposition of medals to new members at the Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. In the afternoon, Punto Joven organises Giant Games from 17:30 to 20:30 h for young people aged 10 to 17, with registration at www.plangalapagar.es.
The week concludes on Saturday at 19:00 h at the Teatro Jacinto Benavente with Under the Tent of Heaven, a circus show by Eirenê for family audiences. Tickets cost 6 euros and can be purchased through the eAgora app.
The exhibition Human Rights in Iran can be visited until October 6 at the Biblioteca Ricardo León, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00 h and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 h. The Septenary in Honour of Our Lady of Solitude, organised by the Brotherhood for the Patronal Festivals, is celebrated until Saturday the 26th at 19:50 h.
