Thousands of locals have participated this weekend in the events organized by the City Council, which today, September 14, faces its penultimate day with bullfighting, concerts and the Alacasín puppet festival.
The Patron Saint Festivities of Móstoles are approaching their final stretch. Thousands of locals and visitors have filled the streets during the weekend of September 12 and 13 in the events scheduled by the City Council through the Department of Mobility, Transport, Consumption and Festivities, with the presence of the mayor, Manuel Bautista, and members of the Government and the municipal Corporation.
The religious program for the Day of the Patroness included the floral offering, the Solemn Mass, the descent of the Virgin, the procession of Our Lady of the Saints and Saint Simón de Rojas, the rociera mass, the proclamation, the chupinazo and the fireworks.
Music has been another key element of these festivities, which began on September 4 and will end on the 15th. The stages have hosted Orquesta Panorama, Venecia and Panther in Liana Carpas; Francisco and Tamara, and Cepeda in Pradillo; Rosario Flores, Antonio Carmona and Marshall Ventura in the Flamenco Fusion Night, and the Forever 90's Party by Kiss FM in Liana Fuentes.
Today's events, September 14, started at 9:00 AM with the popular breakfasts organized by the City Council in the Plaza de España, which were also held on Sunday.
At 11:00 AM, the running of the bulls and the release of the cattle to be fought in the afternoon is scheduled. The bullfight, featuring bulls from the El Vellosino ranch, will begin at 6:00 PM in the bullring of Móstoles with Sebastián Castella, Andrés Roca Rey and David de Miranda.
For families, the Finca Liana Puppet Theatre will host the children's festival Alacasín at 6:30 PM, a show with humorous touches.
The music will continue in the evening across three stages. Rapper JC Reyes will headline the Urban Night starting at 9:00 PM in Liana Fuentes, accompanied by DJ Álex Karo and DJ Lombana. In Pradillo, Rosa Molina will perform at 8:00 PM and Nuria Fergó will take the stage at 9:30 PM with her 25th Anniversary Tour. The orchestra Sonital will close the offerings in Liana Carpas.
The Patron Saint Festivities of Móstoles will conclude tomorrow, September 15, the final day of a program that has spanned twelve days.
