The Las Rozas Town Hall, through the Las Rozas Culture Foundation, inaugurated an outdoor exhibition of the Cámara en Mano Photographic Association on Friday. It features 31 images from 21 authors and can be seen on the boulevard of Camilo José Cela street until March 31.
The outdoor exhibition of the Cámara en Mano Photographic Association is now open for visitors on the boulevard of Camilo José Cela street in Las Rozas de Madrid. The exhibition, inaugurated last Friday by the Town Hall through the Las Rozas Culture Foundation, will remain open until March 31.
The route is located between Heron City and Las Rozas Village, in an area commonly frequented by residents and visitors. The installation allows viewers to see the works while walking along the boulevard.
The mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz, and the councillor for Education and Culture, Gloria Fernández, toured the exhibition alongside representatives and photographers from the association. Both encouraged residents to visit it.
The exhibition features 31 photographs from 21 authors, selected in an internal competition dedicated to beauty. The images explore the theme through landscapes, gestures, and everyday scenes, as well as through fragility, imperfection, and human relationships. The jury, composed of external professionals from photography and art criticism, chose the works from various perspectives and styles within the association.
Among the exhibited pieces are the three winners of the competition: Pisando fuerte, by Joanna Franklin; Contrastes, by Inmaculada Talavera; and Fragilidad detenida, by María José Alcaraz Rousselet.
Cámara en Mano was founded in Las Rozas in 2021 by former students of the Municipal Graphic Design and Photography Workshop, taught by María Montero. It currently brings together over a hundred people interested in photography as a form of expression, learning, and creation.
