The colour run will take place on Saturday, September 5th at noon in the Plaza de la Constitución, with no prior registration and suitable for all ages.

Valdemorillo will once again be filled with coloured powders, music, and a festive atmosphere next Saturday, September 5th, with a new edition of the Holi Run, included in the September Festivities programme. The event, organised by the Youth Department, will kick off at noon in the Plaza de la Constitución, which will become the epicentre of a day designed for enjoyment with family and friends.

The activity, inspired by the traditional Hindu festival of colours, is open to people of all ages and does not require prior registration: anyone can join directly on the same day, both locals and visitors who come to the municipality during the festivities.

During the celebration, attendees will share colour powder throws and musical entertainment, in an atmosphere that will transform the town centre into a space of coexistence and joy. The Town Hall recommends wearing comfortable clothing, preferably white or light-coloured, to make the most of the colour effect.

The Mayor of Valdemorillo, Santiago Villena, has encouraged participation in this activity and the rest of the scheduled events: “This is one more initiative with which we aim to make everyone the protagonists of these festivities, which continue to grow in interest and attendance each year, enhancing the meeting and coexistence in an atmosphere of fun that gives us unforgettable moments.”

The Holi Run has established itself as one of the most anticipated events of the festivities, with great participation in previous editions. The run is not competitive and its aim is purely recreational, so it is expected to repeat the scenes of previous years with the square full of people of all ages.

The event will also serve to mark the end of summer in Valdemorillo, which celebrates its patron saint festivities with a wide programme of activities during the first days of September. Interested parties can consult the rest of the events on the official channels of the Town Hall.
