The mayor of Velilla de San Antonio, Antonia Alcázar, has participated in the II Spain-China mayors' dialogue, held in Yantai. The meeting brought together representatives from over 40 cities from both countries.
The mayor of Velilla de San Antonio, Antonia Alcázar, took part in the II Spain-China mayors' dialogue, held in the Chinese city of Yantai. The Spanish delegation was led by Gerardo Pisarello Prados, the first secretary of the Congress of Deputies, and included mayors from over 40 cities from both countries, including those from Badalona, Gijón, Puertollano, Montilla, and Alcoy.
Alcázar was part of the working group “How to save the planet and improve people's lives”, where the future of cities, economic cooperation, sustainability, and ecological transition were discussed. Digitalisation, smart cities, and cultural and educational exchanges between Spain and China were also addressed.
The meeting was promoted by the China Chair Foundation and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
