The municipal group of the Independent Citizen Group for Aranjuez (ACIPA) has submitted two questions for the Plenary of the Corporation in September 2026 concerning the unification of criteria in the Local Commission of Historical Heritage. The party recalls that in June 2024 it presented a proposal, unanimously approved, requesting the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and the Office of the Spanish Language to approve general technical criteria for the intervention requests decided by this body.
According to ACIPA's written statement, the aim of those criteria was to facilitate prior knowledge of the required standards for interested parties and to specify the practices and criteria to be interpreted and applied. The proposal also called for continued work on the Special Plan for the Historic Centre and the Catalogue of Protected Assets, with technical and financial assistance from regional, state, or European sources.
In January of this year, ACIPA asked the municipal government about the actions taken since the approval, 18 months earlier. The response, according to the group, was that the criteria would be addressed when there were budgets in the locality and that they should be worked on in parallel with the Special Plan for the Centre.
With the final approval of the budgets announced in August 2026, ACIPA believes that the municipal government should have a reliable timeline for the proposal approved in 2024. Therefore, it raises these two questions to the Plenary:

What plans do you have established until the end of the year for spending from the budget as stipulated to carry out the proposal approved in June 2024?
The Plenary of the Corporation in September 2026 will debate these issues, which affect the processing of interventions in the historic ensemble of Aranjuez.
