The Aranjuez City Council opens the tender to lease 7 police vehicles for 48 months, with an estimated value of 558,000 euros. Bids can be submitted until September 26 at 23:59.
The State Contracting Platform has published the tender issued by the Aranjuez City Council for the supply, in leasing mode, of 7 marked vehicles intended for the Local Police Force. Of these, 4 will have a kit for detained persons and 3 will not have it. The estimated value of the contract amounts to 558,000 euros, VAT included, and the execution period is 48 months from the delivery of the vehicles.
The deadline to obtain the specifications and submit bids ends on September 26 at 23:59. The delivery of the vehicles will take place at the Local Police Base, located at calle del Príncipe 40 in Aranjuez, within a maximum of 90 calendar days from the signing of the contract.
The City Council justifies the tender due to the lack of resources for police service, the imminent expiration of the current leasing contract, the incorporation of more efficient technology such as hybrids, and the increase in crime and interventions, which demands updated equipment for the officers.
The indicative leasing fees, VAT included, are 1,575 euros per month for each vehicle without a kit (226,800 euros over 48 months) and 1,725 euros per month for each unit with a kit (331,200 euros in the same period). The total monthly amount is 11,625 euros.
The specifications include equipment detailed by the council: a detainee kit approved by the Ministry of Industry, UN R65 Class 2 light bar, level III microprismatic Battenberg signage, 100 W loudspeaker and siren, additional equipment (AED, flashlights, fire extinguisher, cones, tetra pods), all-risk insurance with no excess, unlimited tyres, a replacement vehicle after 48 hours, and BR4 armouring on the front doors.

Especially when crime rates in our locality have increased in recent semesters. We understand that the local police will have more and better resources, which will therefore improve the safety of all residents. We also believe that acquiring these vehicles in leasing mode is a very wise decision, as it includes insurance, inspections, maintenance… in the contract price. We are very pleased to hear this news and hope that investment in security continues. We hope that the vehicles will become a reality in the coming months and that local police officers can carry out their work under better conditions than before. And as always, we hope there are no delays or problems when awarding the contract.
