The Local Police of Velilla de San Antonio now has a new patrol vehicle, funded by the Community of Madrid through a grant.
The Local Police of Velilla de San Antonio has added a new vehicle to its fleet. The patrol car, delivered this morning, will serve to enhance surveillance efforts in the municipality, according to the Town Hall.
The mayor, Antonia Alcázar, and the Councillor for Citizen Security, Rodrigo Morales, attended the delivery ceremony along with the head of the Local Police. Representatives from the Community of Madrid, the administration that financed the acquisition through a grant, were also present.
During the event, the mayor emphasised that this addition “represents another step in our commitment to continue improving the resources available to the Local Police force.”
The new vehicle joins the existing fleet and will increase police presence on the streets, particularly in preventive patrolling and response to incidents. The renewal of the vehicle fleet is a common demand from officers to ensure effective service.
With this delivery, Velilla de San Antonio continues to modernise its security resources, an aspect that the governing team has prioritised in recent budgets. Residents will be able to see the new patrol car driving around the municipality in the coming days.
