The mayor of Tres Cantos, Jesús Moreno, attended the inauguration of the new thoroughfare at the SID Madrid campus, a road that connects the different areas of the complex with Encuartes street and can be used for professional meetings and events.
The business and technology campus SID Madrid, in Tres Cantos, now has a new thoroughfare that connects the interior of the site with Encuartes street, the auditorium, and the rest of the facilities. The work has been carried out on an old disused road that divided the business park and now allows for unification of the complex.
The mayor, Jesús Moreno, attended the inauguration of this space, accompanied by the Economic Development councillor, Ana Isabel Pérez. They were welcomed by the CEO of SID Madrid, Javier de Pablo, and other group officials.
The new thoroughfare facilitates transit between the areas of the complex and can be used by the companies located there to hold meetings, events, and professional gatherings, with the aim of promoting collaboration among companies.
Today, seeing what SID has become, a reference centre in innovation and technology, fills us with pride. What was once a brave bet on Tres Cantos is now a key piece in our economic, social, and technological development,” the mayor emphasised during his speech.
Moreno framed the initiative within public-private collaboration as a way to boost local economic development.
The most prosperous cities are those where the public and private sectors move forward together, sharing vision and trust. To generate quality employment and compete in a global market, companies need security, certainty, and administrative agility.
The inauguration coincided with the Summer Return of SID Madrid, a day that brought together representatives from the companies on the campus to share experiences and explore new avenues for collaboration.
The Economic Development councillor highlighted the significance of the business fabric in Tres Cantos.
The growth of SID Madrid is a testament to the dynamism of the business fabric of Tres Cantos and our ability to continue attracting projects linked to knowledge and innovation. The Town Hall will always continue to contribute to facilitating a conducive environment for companies to grow, connect with each other, and generate new opportunities for high-skilled investment and employment.
SID Madrid received the Technological Innovation Award in 2025 at the first edition of the Tres Cantos Business Excellence Awards. The complex boasts nearly 33,000 square metres of infrastructure and an investment exceeding 200 million euros.
The new road is now open and directly connects the campus with Encuartes street, reducing internal travel between the resident companies.
