The City Council of Aranjuez has published five minor contracts, totalling €21,336.5, for prevention and awareness actions against gender violence, including workshops and theatrical performances.

The City Council of Aranjuez has awarded five minor contracts, amounting to €21,336.5, aimed at prevention and awareness actions against gender violence, as stated in the State Contracting Platform. The contracts, published in recent days, include workshops and theatrical performances directed at various groups, from students to women victims and exposed minors.

The largest contract, for €11,357.5, has been awarded to Delfo Desarrollo Laboral y Formación SL for the performance of seven theatrical representations of the play "I Will Always Love You" aimed at the students of Aranjuez. Following this is the workshop "Nido de Colores", focusing on art therapy, expressive movement, and mindfulness for minors exposed to gender violence, awarded to Lucía Hervás Hermida for €4,740.

Completing the list is the writing workshop for the prevention of gender violence, taught by Alicia Campos Hidalgo for €3,000; the workshop "Circle of Women", by Ana Beltrán Gutiérrez, for €1,270.5; and the dance and improvisation workshop for women victims, led by María Jesús Mínguez Ledo, for €968.

The spokesperson for the Independent Citizens' Group for Aranjuez, Jesús Mario Blasco, has pointed out that the aim is for residents to assess "its importance, necessity, or suitability". In this regard, he has argued that the workshops and performances seek "prevention and awareness about this scourge that we must continue working to eradicate".

Blasco took the opportunity to reiterate his request for the City Council to reduce "to the bare minimum" minor contracts and exclusivities, although he admits that there may be exceptions that motivate this in these cases. He has also again requested more resources for the contracting delegation in order to ensure "maximum transparency and efficiency" in the processes.

Minor contracts are those whose value is less than €40,000 for works and €15,000 for supplies or services, according to Article 18 of Law 9/2017 on Public Sector Contracts. The activities are framed within the State Pact against Gender Violence.
