The City Council of Coslada hosted a silent gathering in rejection of misogynistic murders, called by the Department of Equality and Diversity and the Council of Women.
A silent gathering took place this noon at the doors of the City Hall of Coslada to condemn the misogynistic murders and show support for the victims and their families. The event was called by the Department of Equality and Diversity together with the Council of Women of Coslada.
Municipal representatives, members of social entities, feminist groups, and local residents participated in the gathering, observing silence in memory of the victims of gender-based violence.
During the event, it was noted that, according to data updated to August 7 by the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, in 2026, 36 women and 3 minors have been murdered, and there are 26 orphaned minors as a result of this violence.
The City Council of Coslada reiterated its municipal commitment to equality, prevention, support for victims, and social awareness, as well as coordinated work with the administrations, entities, and groups involved.
