The Las Rozas Town Hall has added an eleventh vehicle to Civil Protection, a 4x4 pick-up with a forest pump and defibrillator, to strengthen the response to fires and high temperatures.
The Las Rozas Town Hall has incorporated a new fire extinguishing vehicle into the Civil Protection Volunteer Group. It is a B-2 multipurpose 4x4 pick-up, the eleventh assigned to the service, which is now operational at the SAMER and Civil Protection facilities in the municipality.
The mayor, José de la Uz, accompanied by the councillor for Security and Emergencies, David Santos, and the head of the group, César Plaza, visited the facilities to learn about the new equipment. As De la Uz explained, the addition aims to “strengthen the response capacity and continue to care for residents during episodes of high temperatures and potential fires.”
The vehicle is equipped with a light forest pump with a 500-litre tank, specialized materials, rescue tools, and a semi-automatic defibrillator (DESA). This equipment allows volunteers to intervene quickly in both forest fires and health emergencies.
With this new addition, Civil Protection in Las Rozas expands its operational capacity to face the heat season, when the risk of fires increases. The vehicle is already available for the service, which responds to emergencies throughout the municipal area.
