The Aranjuez City Council promotes training for professionals and social agents that will serve to design the Local Suicide Prevention and Emotional Wellbeing Promotion Plan. The sessions will be on 29 September, 27 October, and 24 November.
The Aranjuez City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare and the Suicide Prevention and Emotional Wellbeing Promotion Committee, has launched specific training aimed at the professionals who make up that committee. The aim is to equip them with knowledge, tools, and methodology to design the Local Suicide Prevention and Emotional Wellbeing Promotion Plan.
The sessions will take place on 29 September, 27 October, and 24 November. They will involve professionals and social agents from social services, mental health, Local Police, education, sports, women's services, social entities, the Addiction Treatment Centre, and other resources in the municipality.
The training and the other actions of the committee have the support of the Community of Madrid's Suicide Prevention Plan.
Preventing requires knowledge, coordination, and commitment
Coinciding with the International Suicide Prevention Day, on 10 September, the facade of the Aranjuez City Hall will be illuminated to raise awareness of the day and contribute to discussing the topic with greater naturalness, knowledge, and sensitivity.
The City Council works with these resources to improve coordination among the services that assist the municipality's population and to better prepare the community to support those going through difficult times.
