The Moncalvillo Novilladas Fair takes place from 18th to 21st September in San Agustín del Guadalix with four events and breeders such as San Isidro, José González and Montealto. Season tickets are sold from 14th to 17th September at the SAC.
San Agustín del Guadalix hosts the 18th to 21st September Moncalvillo Bullfighting Fair, the leading novilladas fair in the Community of Madrid. The programme includes four events featuring breeders such as Cerrolengo, José González, San Isidro and Montealto and six top novilleros.
The fair kicks off on Friday 18th September with the XXIII Memorial José Luis Monasterio Cutting Contest. On Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th, two picadas novilladas will be held, and on Monday 21st, the grand final will take place with the winners from the previous days.
In San Agustín, the Moncalvillo Fair is a benchmark of the Bullfighting Festival. The novilladas of this Fair are entirely dedicated to the novilleros, the foundation of the future of the festival, and it is an icon of the celebrations in September in our region,” declared the mayor of San Agustín del Guadalix, Roberto Ronda.
This year's poster has been designed by Lucio Benito, inspired by the bullfighting tradition of the municipality, whose epicentre was the Town Hall Square converted into a bullring.
The participating breeders are scheduled by day: on Saturday 19th, novillos from San Isidro will be fought, on Sunday 20th from José González, and on Monday 21st from Montealto.
Season tickets and tickets will be sold from 14th to 17th September at the Town Hall SAC, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours. During the event days, tickets can be purchased at the Antonio Ronda Ortiz bullring from 12:00 to 14:00 and in the afternoon from two hours before the start of each event.
The prices are as follows: under 12 years, free entry; retirees, unemployed, clubs and under 18 years, single entry per event at 10 euros; general season ticket at 35 euros; general club season ticket at 30 euros; individual entry for the cutting contest at 10 euros; and individual general entry for picada novillada at 15 euros.
