The Community of Madrid, Tragsa, and the mayor of Chapinería oversee the collection and management of affected materials, deposited in a municipal warehouse.

The recovery plan for Chapinería following the fire at the end of July is progressing with the management of damaged items. On August 13, representatives from the Community of Madrid and Tragsa, along with Mayor Lucía Moya, supervised the work being carried out in a municipal-owned warehouse.

This warehouse temporarily houses materials affected by the fire. Tragsa is responsible for the collection and management of these items, which includes their separation and subsequent transfer to authorised waste treatment plants.

The use of the municipal warehouse allows for the centralisation and organisation of materials before their final removal. This process requires coordination between administrations to ensure that the waste receives appropriate treatment and that the removal is carried out progressively.

The visit served to verify on-site the progress of the actions and maintain coordination among the involved agencies. Mayor Lucía Moya continues to monitor the work and coordinate that resources reach the affected people and activities.

The Chapinería City Council emphasises that recovery takes time and the participation of different agencies. The council remains committed to working alongside the Community of Madrid to advance step by step towards the municipality's return to normality.

The City Council reminds that each removal and cleaning represents a step forward towards total recovery after particularly difficult days for the locality. The work will continue progressively until the cleaning of the waste generated by the fire is complete.
