The Deputy Government Representative in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, visited the Town Hall to learn about the program 'Administration close to you', which has already allowed the first residents to obtain their digital certificate without travelling.

Chapinería has launched the program "Administration close to you", an initiative from the General State Administration that enables residents to carry out procedures with public administrations without having to leave the municipality. The Deputy Government Representative in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, visited the Town Hall alongside the mayor, Lucía Moya, to see firsthand how the service works.

The first beneficiaries have been Sergio and Elena, two residents who successfully obtained their FNMT Digital Certificate quickly, an essential electronic identification system for interacting with the Administration. Their case demonstrates that a procedure which can be complex can be completed with support and guidance, in a close manner and without leaving the village.

The program also allows for the processing of the Cl@ve Permanent, another identification tool that facilitates access to online services. With these systems, citizens can manage affairs with the Directorate General of Traffic, the Tax Agency, Social Security, or submit documentation online, among other options.

The launch of this service is particularly significant in the context of recovery following the Sierra Oeste fire, as it facilitates access to aid and subsidies. The Town Hall of Chapinería notes that many residents need to carry out procedures to access benefits related to reconstruction, and having these tools saves them unnecessary trips.

During the visit, the deputy representative and the mayor were able to see the positive reception the initiative is receiving. The mayor, Lucía Moya, highlighted the importance of continuing to seek resources that improve attention to residents, especially for those who have more difficulties with digital procedures.

Additionally, the program offers information and guidance on the services of the Government Delegation in Madrid and, when appropriate, advice on procedures from the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) and the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS).

The Town Hall of Chapinería will continue working to bring all available resources closer to the citizens, aiming to ensure that living in a small municipality does not pose an additional difficulty when interacting with administrations. Interested residents can inquire at the Town Hall about how to access this service.
