Cobeña Town Hall gathered the Local Security Board this Thursday to coordinate the operation for the upcoming Patron Saint Festivities. The meeting confirmed that the municipality maintains one of the lowest crime rates in the Community of Madrid.
The Local Security Board of Cobeña held a meeting this Thursday, 24th September 2026, to coordinate the operation that will be deployed during the upcoming Patron Saint Festivities. The meeting was chaired by the Mayor and was attended by the First Deputy Mayor.
Representatives from the Local Police, Guardia Civil, Traffic Guardia Civil, Civil Protection, Firefighters, the Government Delegation, and the Community of Madrid participated in the meeting. According to the Town Hall, the aim is to strengthen coordination among all services that will be working during the festive days.
During the meeting, it was stated that Cobeña maintains one of the lowest crime rates in the Community of Madrid, a fact that, according to the council, surprised both the representatives of the Government Delegation and those from the General Directorate of Security of the Community of Madrid. Most of the crimes recorded in the municipality are of a cyber nature.
Cobeña is already ready to experience a safe Patron Saint Festivities for everyone,” stated the Town Hall after the meeting.
The operation will include more coordination, prevention, and security, according to the same sources. The Local Security Board will reassess the operation once the festivities are over.
