The El Escorial Town Hall has acquired 15 state-of-the-art bulletproof vests for its Local Police, with an investment of €16,000. The new equipment replaces the old ones and protects against impacts of up to 9 mm and knives.

The El Escorial Town Hall has allocated €16,000 for the purchase of 15 bulletproof vests to renew the equipment of its Local Police. The acquisition aims to replace the existing vests and ensure that officers have reliable tools in their daily work.

The new vests are made of Kevlar, a material that absorbs and distributes the force of impacts, and are capable of repelling bullets of up to 9 millimetres, as well as knife attacks thanks to their anti-cut system. Additionally, they incorporate the Molle system, a modular grid that allows for the attachment and movement of pockets and accessories according to the needs of each service, facilitating the manoeuvrability of the officers.

With this investment, the council continues its policy of enhancing safety in the municipality, providing officers with essential material for their protection.
