The City Council of Getafe offers 450 places for the Autumn Trips, 150 more than last year. Pre-registration will take place from September 23 to 25 at the Municipal House for Seniors.
The City Council of Getafe, through the Municipal House for Seniors, has increased to 450 places for the Autumn Trips for seniors, compared to 300 in the previous season. The offer includes 6 destinations and stays of 2, 4 and 7 days.
The scheduled trips are to Navarra, the Palentine Romanesque, Salamanca, Extremadura, the coast of Almería, and the coast of Galicia. All packages include bus transport from Getafe, transfers for excursions and cultural visits, accommodation in hotels, and, for cultural trips, entrance to museums and monuments.
The councillor for Seniors, Gema Cáceres, explained the reason for the increase:
After the success of this new model of trips that we launched in 2025, and this year with the Spring Trips, we decided to increase the places, as participants have provided very positive feedback about an offer that adapts to different circumstances, with more travel proposals and number of days.
Applications, one per person, can be submitted between September 23 and 25 at the Municipal House for Seniors, from 10:00 to 13:00 hours. The public draw for the places will be held on September 30.
Those who can participate are residents of Getafe who have not enjoyed the Spring Trip 2026 and who are over 65 years old or pensioners of the Social Security. Retired, pre-retired, or pensioners from the age of 55 can also apply.
