The Town Hall of Morata de Tajuña will set up a vehicle in the Plaza Mayor to renew DNIs and process first applications. An appointment must be made in advance.

On February 26, from 9:00 to 14:00, a vehicle will be located in the Plaza Mayor, next to the Town Hall of Morata de Tajuña, to manage renewals and first applications for DNIs and passports.

To use the service, an appointment must be made at the Town Hall, either in person or by phone, at 918 73 03 80. The document is issued on the spot, and the vehicle also has a point for updating DNI certificates and passwords.

To renew the DNI, you need the expiring DNI, a colour photograph measuring 32 by 26 millimetres, and payment of a fee of 12 euros, in exact amount. Large families do not pay, but must provide documentation to prove this. If the DNI has been lost or stolen, a copy of the report filed with the Guardia Civil must be brought.

Those applying for the document for the first time need a similar photograph, pay 12 euros, and provide a literal birth certificate issued by the corresponding Civil Registry that is less than six months old, along with a registration certificate from the Town Hall that is less than three months old. Minors under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

For changes of data, such as address, a photograph, the DNI, and the registration report are required. This procedure is free, unless the DNI has less than three months of validity left.
