The Town Hall of Sevilla la Nueva has hired 12 unemployed people this September through the Employment-Training Activation Programme, subsidised with €258,347 by the Community of Madrid.
The Town Hall of Sevilla la Nueva has incorporated 12 new workers this September through the Employment-Training Activation Programme, an initiative that combines employment and training to promote the labour integration of unemployed individuals while also strengthening municipal services.
The programme has a subsidy of €258,347.04, funded by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment of the Community of Madrid, with participation from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).
The hires have been distributed across various municipal areas: two assistants for Citizen Attention and for Commerce, Employment and Subsidies; one worker for Urban Planning; two for Archive and Library; two for Maintenance; one audiovisual technician; three ordinances for different facilities; and two ambulance technicians.
The mayor of Sevilla la Nueva, Asensio Martínez Agraz, welcomed the new employees and noted that this stage “should be an opportunity to gain experience, continue training, and improve their chances of accessing the job market.” He also highlighted that their incorporation “represents an important reinforcement for different areas and services that we provide daily to our residents.”
The municipality has previously participated in earlier calls for these regional employment programmes, which aim to generate opportunities for the unemployed and maintain the quality of public services. The new workers will begin serving immediately in their respective areas.
