The Town Hall of Velilla de San Antonio is finalising the EN RED ANDO programme, which will start in late September with psychological support, workshops and activities for seniors.

The Town Hall of Velilla de San Antonio held a coordination meeting this week to finalise the new project EN RED ANDO, an initiative aimed at promoting the well-being, connection and participation of older people in their daily lives. The programme is part of the Municipal Programme to Combat Unwanted Loneliness, which the council is developing alongside the Community of Social Services.

Attending the meeting were the mayor and councillor for Seniors, Antonia Alcázar, along with councillors and technical staff from various municipal areas. The aim was to advance the organisation and implementation of the programme, which will have a team of three professionals: psychologist, social integrator and occupational therapist.

The project will begin in late September. Among the planned activities and services are individualised psychological support, therapeutic groups on various themes, workshops, walks and physical activities, community meetings, cultural and intergenerational proposals, and awareness-raising talks.

In the coming weeks, more information will be provided and details about the registration process will be communicated.
