The renovation work on the municipal pool of Las Olivas in Aranjuez is expected to start in early September. The City Council has announced an investment of over 90,000 euros to completely renew the lining and the surrounding pavement of the facility.
The work includes the manual removal of all existing pavement around the pool, a decision aimed at preserving the edge and avoiding structural damage. A new treatment will then be applied with 1.5-millimetre non-slip PVC lining, both at the bottom and around the perimeter.
The pool will remain closed for approximately a month, coinciding with the period each year dedicated to maintenance. According to the City Council, this action will reduce or even avoid that seasonal closure in the coming years, providing more continuity in the use of the facility.
The City Council of Aranjuez has asked for understanding from residents and users for any inconvenience caused by the works, which are part of the improvement of public spaces in the city.
