The youth team Madrid Siglo XXI «R», in which the neighbour from Cobeña Laura Marcos competes, has achieved a spot for the Spanish Championship in rhythmic gymnastics. The team did not reach the podium but qualified after a season of continuous work.
The project has qualified for the Spanish Championship since its inception, never losing its place. With this edition, it adds seven consecutive qualifications for the national event.
The athletes balance their university studies with training. The coaches, who are also responsible for the rhythmic gymnastics classes for girls in Cobeña, are part of this achievement.
From the City Council of Cobeña, they congratulated Abril Rodríguez and Laura Marcos, the coaches, and the members of the youth teams Madrid Siglo XXI «P» and «R». They wished them the greatest success in the Spanish Championship, which will take place in Cartagena.
