Majadahonda City Council has approved the execution project to build a skatepark and a pumptrack with a budget of €438,967.53. The works will take place on a municipal plot of 5,500 square meters.

The Local Government Board of the Majadahonda City Council has approved the execution project for the construction of a skatepark and a pumptrack, with a total budget of €438,967.53. The approval took place this Friday.

The facilities will be built on a municipal plot of approximately 5,500 square meters, located at the southeast corner of Avenida Rey Juan Carlos I, on the descent towards Avenida Príncipe de Asturias. The design will follow criteria for integration with the landscape of the area and will take advantage of the natural slopes of the terrain.

The area will be divided into two interconnected zones. The first is a skatepark with a bowl, a concave structure designed for skating on curves, primarily aimed at BMX. The second is a beginner's area with a street-style circuit and low-difficulty obstacles for novices. The pumptrack is a closed asphalt circuit with two perimeter straights and a central area with curves, accessed by ramps at the ends. It will be available for people aged 12 years and older.

The project includes a metal perimeter fence to control access, a common area, a main entrance, a bicycle parking area, and a green space with grass, trees, and shrubs. According to the project, it complies with national and international safety regulations for such facilities and accessibility requirements for public spaces.

The estimated execution period is six months from the start of the works.
