The Cerro del Espino Stadium in Majadahonda will host the international U-20 friendly between Spain and Mexico on Wednesday, September 30 at 20:30. The RFEF has changed the initial venue from Ceuta on the recommendation of security forces while keeping the date.
The international U-20 friendly between Spain and Mexico will take place on Wednesday, September 30 at 20:30 at the Cerro del Espino Stadium in Majadahonda. This has been confirmed by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which has moved the match from its original venue, the Municipal Stadium Alfonso Murube in Ceuta, following recommendations from security forces.
Teledeporte will broadcast the match, which features two of the strongest teams in the category. Information regarding ticket sales will be announced in the coming days.
The Spanish U-20 team, managed by Paco Gallardo, is mainly composed of players born in 2007. It is the same group that won the U-19 European Championship last July and will compete in next year's U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The match in Majadahonda will be their first meeting since the European title.
The Cerro del Espino is a municipal facility, currently the sports city of Atlético de Madrid and home to Rayo Majadahonda, recently promoted to the Primera Federación. It has a capacity of around 3,800 spectators.
The mayor of Majadahonda, Lola Moreno, has praised the choice of the municipality as the venue:

The City Council has worked quickly and in coordination these days to provide all guarantees, and in Majadahonda we will rise to the occasion. We also want to send all our affection to Ceuta, which deserved to enjoy this match.
The match retains the original date planned for Ceuta. The RFEF has explained that the venue change is in response to the recommendation of security forces.
