The municipality hosts this Friday the presentation of “50 Questions about Exercise and Mental Health”, by Santiago de la O Mora, at the Concha Méndez Municipal Library. The weekend is completed with the Artisan Market and a macramé workshop.
Manzanares el Real offers a cultural and artisan agenda this weekend with three events. The first will be on Friday 4th September at 18:00 at the Concha Méndez Municipal Library, where the book “50 Questions about Exercise and Mental Health”, by Santiago de la O Mora, will be presented.
The author will combine scientific dissemination, personal experience, and participatory dynamics to explain how physical exercise can become a tool for improving mental health. During the event, topics such as anxiety, depression, stress, sleep, self-esteem, and emotional well-being will be addressed, with a focus based on scientific evidence and accessible language. The project, as explained by De la O Mora himself, arises from the available evidence and his experience with anxiety and depression processes. The session will include a lecture, dynamics with the audience, and a final discussion.
On Saturday 5th September, the Artisan Market returns, bringing together local artisans to showcase their creations. This edition includes a macramé workshop to make a plant hanger, which will take place on Sunday 6th September from 11:00 to 12:00. Attendees should bring their own plant pot.
