The Móstoles City Council has presented the security device for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, which includes 775 police services, drones, and surveillance cameras. They will take place from September 4 to 15.

The City Council of Móstoles has activated a comprehensive security device for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, which will be held from this Friday, September 4, until the next day 15. The Local Security Board, chaired by Mayor Manuel Bautista, met this Thursday to coordinate the measures, with the presence of the Government Delegation, National Police, Municipal Police, Civil Guard, and Civil Protection.

The device will include 775 police services for the 51 scheduled events, generating 141 service orders, and will mobilise more than 40 vehicles. Surveillance will be reinforced with drones and the Canine Unit, focused on drug detection, in addition to the Special Traffic Unit.

The areas with the highest attendance, such as Parque Finca Liana and the fairground with attractions, will have 16 surveillance cameras and metal detection wands. An acoustic security system will also be installed with announcements via loudspeaker and an incident reporting system at each booth, both for security and medical assistance.

The Municipal Police recommends that residents and visitors avoid accessing the celebration areas by car due to road closures and traffic restrictions expected on several streets in the city.

Mayor Manuel Bautista has thanked all the bodies involved for their cooperation in ensuring that the people of Móstoles and visitors enjoy a safe festival.
