The Tres Cantos City Council has presented the programme for the Cultural Autumn 2026, which includes around twenty theatrical proposals featuring performers such as Juan Echanove, Imanol Arias, María Barranco, and Carlos Sobera, as well as music, exhibitions, and reading promotion activities.
The mayor of Tres Cantos, Jesús Moreno, and the Councillor for Culture, Elisa Lidia Miguel, presented this Wednesday at the Teatro del Centro Cultural Adolfo Suárez the programme for the Cultural Autumn 2026, which will take place over the coming months in municipal spaces.
The performing arts feature around twenty proposals for adult, children, and family audiences at the Municipal Theatre. Eight of these shows are part of the Network of Theatres of the Community of Madrid. The organisation expects to reach 18,000 spectators throughout 2026.
Confirmed performers include Juan Echanove and Joaquín Climent with Esencia; Imanol Arias and María Barranco with Mejor no decirlo; Carlos Sobera in La comedia de la olla; Lara Dibildos and Marta Valverde in Lo que callamos a los treinta; and Pastora Vega alongside Pablo Carbonell in Género de dudas.
The theatrical programme is completed with productions such as Poeta perdido en Nueva York, which combines verses and letters from Federico García Lorca with live music; Las gratitudes, featuring Gloria Muñoz; and Mihura, el último comediógrafo. The children and family audience will have puppet shows, theatre, cartoons, and new technologies, as well as proposals for babies.
The music programme includes a concert by the Banda Sinfónica Ciudad de Tres Cantos for National Day, the celebration of Santa Cecilia by the Municipal Music School Band in November, gospel, choral meetings, and the traditional Regional Christmas Carols Meeting. As a new feature, the Club Musical de Tres Cantos will be launched, focusing on works from the history of rock and pop.
In the visual arts, the Sala Baluarte will host the retrospective exhibition 53/35 años/obras (y alguna fuera de carta), by the artist from Tres Cantos Francisco Antolín. Ángeles Sacedón will present at Espacio Centro La Memoria de la Tierra, of abstract surrealism. The lobby galleries of the Centro Cultural Adolfo Suárez will continue to showcase works by local artists and cultural associations.
We have designed a diverse and comprehensive programme, where great figures of the Spanish scene coexist with our local artists and formations,” said the Councillor for Culture, Elisa Lidia Miguel.
The Municipal Schools of Artistic Education in Dance, Music, and Theatre, along with the Municipal Workshop School, begin the academic year with nearly 2,500 students. The municipal libraries have scheduled nearly 200 activities throughout the year, with over 5,000 participants and almost 8,000 monthly loans. The programme includes BBCuentos, La Hora de los Cuentos, Story Time, and Una Noche de Cuento, as well as book presentations, meetings with authors, and reading clubs for adults.
