The Tres Cantos City Council is launching a new edition of the Programme for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities, with job guidance and training for women residing in the municipality. Registrations are now open and sessions will run until 15 December.
The Tres Cantos City Council has initiated a new edition of the Programme for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, an initiative that combines training and job guidance to improve the employability of women in the municipality.
The programme is aimed at women residing in Tres Cantos and is jointly organised by the Department of Economic Development and Employment and the Department of Family and Equality. The methodology is based on personalised guidance, tailored to the situation, experience, and goals of each participant.
Training sessions are held by appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays, from 10:00 to 15:00, at the city council building, located at plaza del Ayuntamiento, 1. The deadline for participation will remain open until 15 December, inclusive.
Those interested can formalise their registration through the employment portal Gestionandote.com. They can also request information from the Department of Economic Development and Employment, by calling 91 293 80 00 (extension 4107) or by emailing desarrollo.economico.yempleo@trescantos.es.
We want to continue providing unemployed women with useful tools and personalised support that will allow them to face their job search with greater resources, as well as improve their skills and identify new professional opportunities,” emphasised Ana Isabel Pérez, councillor for Economic Development and Employment.
The programme includes personalised pathways for job guidance, information on public and private resources, and practical training for job searching and maintenance: CV writing, interview preparation, and tools to succeed in selection processes.
Those considering entrepreneurship as an alternative may be referred to the municipal Entrepreneurship Support Point (PAE), with specific support for technology-related projects.
Equal opportunities also means facilitating women's access to the labour market and fully developing their professional careers. With this programme, we continue to provide all the resources that promote their autonomy and help overcome the barriers they may still face when trying to access employment,” stated the councillor for Family and Equality, Sonia Lolo.
This call continues the work of the City Council during the first half of the year, when over 60 women from Tres Cantos improved their professional skills. According to municipal data, nearly ten have already entered the labour market, and almost 70% of placements have occurred in companies in Tres Cantos.
