The mayor of Coslada, Ángel Viveros, and the Councillor for Education, José Sousa, have visited the children's road safety circuit installed at CEIP Villalar, as part of the European Mobility Week. The activity will continue until September 22.
The CEIP Villalar in Coslada hosted a children's road safety circuit this noon, which has seen dozens of preschool and primary school students from the centre participate. The mayor, Ángel Viveros, and the Councillor for Education, José Sousa, visited the activity.
Participants practiced the basic traffic rules using bicycles, tricycles, and scooters. This initiative is part of the European Mobility Week programme, which started on September 16 and runs until September 22.
The inaugural day consisted of a guided walk through the Humedal park, organised by the Environment department of the City Council, in which students from various educational centres in the municipality participated.
For Monday, safe routes to schools by bicycle are planned. The programme will conclude on Tuesday, September 22, with a bicycle route through the Humedal and the reading of the manifesto for the Week in the Plaza Mayor.
Several municipal departments are involved in the organisation, including Local Police, Education, and Environment.
