The municipal pools of Torrejón de Ardoz will remain open until August 30 with extended hours: they close at 21:00, half an hour later than in previous years. Prices remain the same and there are discounts for the unemployed.

Torrejón de Ardoz is keeping its municipal pools open until August 30 with a new feature: the hours have been extended and they now close at 21:00, half an hour later than in previous seasons. The opening time remains at 12:00.

The mayor, Alejandro Navarro, explained that the request from many residents to delay the closing time has been addressed. “We have modified the hours so that closing is at 21:00, whereas it used to be at 20:30,” he stated during the season presentation.

Prices have been maintained for the fourth consecutive year, according to the mayor. The general admission costs the same as in previous years and unemployed residents with at least six months of registration pay 1.20 euros. The five-visit passes for guests remain at 25 euros, which can only be purchased by residents of the municipality.

This year, 280,000 euros have been invested in improvements to the facilities. At the Wave Pool, the only municipal one in Spain, the pool bottom, sound system, and beach area showers have been renovated, along with replenishing sand and vinyls. Facades and interiors have also been painted, and grass has been planted along the Cypress Walk at the Juan Antonio Samaranch Sports Complex.

Torrejón has six pools: three at the Juan Antonio Samaranch complex (children's, covered, and wave pool) and three at the Blume Sports City (children's, 25 meters, and Olympic). Users with an ADM card enter for free and can apply for it online or at the pools with their ID.

Online tickets can be purchased up to three days in advance for cardholders and two days for others. Additionally, from 18:00 all tickets have a 50% discount. The mayor reminded that the summer leisure offer also includes the Fountain Show, Veranearte, the Summer Cinema, and special days at theme parks.
