The City Council of Getafe opens two grant calls for associations in September, one of them unprecedented, with up to €3,000 per project to create entities and incorporate young people.
The City Council of Getafe has launched two lines of grants for associations this September. The first, already available, is the annual call for established neighbourhood associations, which can apply for aid until 28 September. The second, unprecedented, aims to promote participation, attract young people to associative life, and support the creation of new entities.
This new line of grants can be requested from 8 September until 5 October, with a maximum amount of €3,000 per project. The funds can be used for creating new associations, increasing the number of members, encouraging the incorporation of young people and new profiles, improving training, advice, and digital capabilities of the entities, as well as strengthening their economic sustainability.
The Councillor for Citizen Participation and Action in Neighbourhoods, Ana Isabel González, has highlighted that Getafe has always had a strong associative fabric and that they want to continue strengthening it, promoting the creation of new associations and supporting both innovation and the continuity of traditional entities.
With this new call, the City Council seeks to facilitate the renewal of the associative movement and ensure that entities have better tools to face new challenges. All information and procedures are available on the electronic headquarters of the City Council of Getafe.
