The mayor, José de la Uz, announced in the 2026 State of the City Debate the freezing of taxes and fees, a new Baby Voucher of 1,000 euros, and the completion of 550 homes for young people.
The City Council of Las Rozas de Madrid will freeze municipal taxes and fees for 2027 and will increase the Baby Voucher to 1,000 euros, as announced by the mayor, José de la Uz, in the 2026 State of the City Debate, held this Friday.
De la Uz defined the new political course as one of consolidating policies to improve the city and listed the planned actions: maintenance of public roads, cleaning, asphalting, new employment programs, and reducing bureaucracy. He also announced the upcoming inauguration of the new building of the La Marazuela sports centre, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
Regarding housing, the mayor confirmed that the works on the first 550 protected homes for young people are nearing completion. Additionally, he committed to launching a new cleaning contract and awarding the City's Medal of Honour to the national football coach, Luis de la Fuente.
During his speech, the mayor expressed his support for the city of Ceuta amid the migration crisis and thanked the solidarity of the residents of Las Rozas during the fires last July in the Community of Madrid, when the La Marazuela sports centre hosted more than 400 evacuated people.
Among the social measures, the announcement of the 2027 Baby Voucher, which will increase to 1,000 euros per birth, and the celebration of the Great Family Planting in Las Matas, an activity aimed at families in the municipality, stand out.
