The Colmenarejo Town Hall reminds that leaving waste outside containers can incur penalties and details the free collection services for items and prunings.

The Colmenarejo Town Hall has issued a reminder to residents about the rules for waste disposal and the free municipal services for getting rid of items and prunings. Abandoning rubbish or furniture outside the containers not only dirties the municipality and harms the environment, but can be subject to penalties.

The containers are reserved exclusively for domestic waste placed in closed bags. Those who need to dispose of furniture or bulky items can request the free collection of items every Thursday, by calling 91 858 90 72 in advance.

In the case of prunings, the service allows a maximum of 10 bundles per request. Collection takes place on Tuesdays throughout the municipality and on Saturdays in the Colonia de Santiago area, also by appointment at the same phone number.

Additionally, the municipality has a Clean Point located at Cañada de las Merinas, 136. During the summer hours, from April 1 to September 30, it is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00, remaining closed on Sundays.

The Environment Department emphasises that taking care of Colmenarejo is everyone's responsibility and that small gestures can lead to a cleaner, safer, and more pleasant village to live in. For any questions, interested parties can call the Town Hall to check the updated hours.
