The Department of Equality and Diversity of Coslada, along with the Employment Department, is launching a free programme for women actively seeking employment. It will take place on Thursday mornings between October and November at the Espacio Almudena Grandes.

The City Council of Coslada has initiated a free Employability Programme aimed at women actively seeking employment or wishing to improve their job situation. The initiative is organised by the departments of Equality and Diversity and Employment, and will be developed by the Quiero Trabajo Foundation.

The programme starts on October 15 and runs until November. Sessions will be held on Thursday mornings at the Espacio Almudena Grandes in the Multifunctional Building La Rambla, in Coslada. The methodology combines group workshops with individual attention and support.

Content includes identifying strengths and areas for improvement, defining professional goals and action plans, and developing digital skills for job searching. In this last section, participants will work on crafting resumes, using job portals, and applying artificial intelligence tools to search for opportunities and manage applications.

Participants will also prepare for job interviews and their professional image. The programme offers individualised services for interview preparation, professional styling advice, and mentoring with industry professionals.

This initiative is co-financed by 40% by the FSE+ 2021-2027 Programme of the Community of Madrid, under the collaboration agreement between the Community of Madrid and the City Council of Coslada for actions against gender-based violence and promoting equal opportunities between women and men.

The delegated councillor for Culture, Emi Escudero, stated that

in this way, the City Council of Coslada continues to promote actions aimed at reducing the inequalities that still affect women in the workplace, incorporating tools that enhance their autonomy, skills, and job access opportunities
