The municipality will celebrate its festivities in honour of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal from August 13 to 16, with a programme that combines tradition, culture, music, and activities for all ages.
Fresno de Torote is finalising preparations for one of its most anticipated events: the festivities in honour of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, which will take place from August 13 to 16. The Town Hall has presented a programme that combines the most traditional essence with leisure proposals for all audiences, from religious events to concerts, including bullfighting festivities, children's activities, and community gatherings.
The programme will kick off on August 13 with the Popular Dinner at 20:30, followed at 22:00 by the Tribute to La Oreja de Van Gogh. The next day, August 14, the Parade of Groups and the Popular Lemonade will take place at 20:30, and the Opening Speech by artist María Gracia at 21:10.
The main day, August 15, will start with the popular paella at 14:30, followed by the Main Mass at 12:00 and the Virgin's Procession at 19:00. For the little ones, there will be inflatables in the morning at 11:00 and in the afternoon at 18:00. On August 16, the National Cutting Contest at 19:00 will bring the celebrations to a close.
As is tradition, the municipality will have the figure of the Queen and the Ladies of the Festivities. Emma will be the Queen of the Festivities 2026, accompanied by the Honourable Ladies Saralynn, Violeta, and Noa, who will participate in the main institutional and festive events.
The mayor, Ana Isabel Arias, has highlighted that these festivities are “much more than a programme of activities. They are days to reconnect with family and friends, to open our streets to coexistence, and to remember what unites us as a people.” She thanked the work of the Civil Guard, the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the groups, and all the neighbours who make each edition possible.
The events will take place in the streets and squares of the municipality, with free access for residents and visitors. The Town Hall invites everyone to participate in festivities designed for people of all ages to find their space and enjoy days of coexistence.
