The municipality of Horcajuelo de la Sierra has begun comprehensive redevelopment works and the underground installation of services on Calle Fuente, with an investment of €133,916 and a timeline of two months.
On August 5th, comprehensive redevelopment works, accessibility improvements, and the underground installation of supply networks began in Horcajuelo de la Sierra on Calle Fuente and its surrounding areas. The project, which includes the development of the adjacent square, aims to provide adequate access to the nearby homes and create a square that is in harmony with the mountainous environment.
The total investment, including taxes, amounts to €133,916.48, funded through a grant from the Community of Madrid under the Municipal Works and Services Cooperation Plan. The estimated execution period is two months, although the actual duration of the paving and concreting work will depend on rainfall patterns and the weather conditions typical of the area.
The prior diagnosis revealed severe deficiencies in the existing continuous pavement and significant unevenness in access points. To resolve water drainage issues and ensure the durability of the roadway, the new pavement will be designed with slopes towards the central axis of the road.
The mayor, Arancha Álvarez, has requested the understanding of all residents for any inconveniences that may arise during the works, which will ultimately benefit the municipality. The project also aims to enhance the heritage and architectural environment characteristic of the Sierra Norte region of Madrid.
The works will affect the usual traffic in the area, so residents and visitors are advised to pay attention to the temporary signage and consider alternative access routes over the next two months.
