The municipality inaugurates the new facilities at Parque de La Ermita and the sculpture 'Cruce de caminos', funded by the Community of Madrid.
Last Saturday, as part of the Fiestas de Los Caminos, Pezuela de las Torres officially inaugurated the new sports facilities at Parque de La Ermita and unveiled the sculpture "Cruce de caminos", created by artist Israel Sigler.
The facilities, which have been in operation for several months, are experiencing high usage and have been well received by residents, according to the Town Hall. The project aims to promote sports practice and create a meeting space for all ages.
The initiative has been funded by the Community of Madrid through the Regional Investment Plan (PIR), whose support has been crucial in making this improvement in the municipality a reality.
During the event, the sculpture "Cruce de caminos" was unveiled, representing a meeting point and coexistence, symbolising the bonds between those who live in Pezuela. With this piece, Israel Sigler adds a new work to his legacy in the municipality, which includes a tribute to the heroes of COVID-19, the poster for Plaza de los Mayos, and the monument dedicated to Rebeca Bartolomé.
The Town Hall thanked the Community of Madrid for its collaboration and Israel Sigler for his talent and contribution to beautifying the municipality. The improvement of public spaces and the commitment to art and culture continue to be key aspects of the municipal commitment to the quality of life of residents.
