The municipal animal protection centre Mary Tealby in Rivas-Vaciamadrid will hold an open day on Saturday, September 26 from 10:00 to 15:00. Those interested in adopting can come without an appointment and see the animals in care.
The municipal animal protection centre Mary Tealby, in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, opens its doors on Saturday, September 26 from 10:00 to 15:00 so that local residents interested in adopting a dog or a cat can meet the animals waiting for a home. No prior appointment or registration is necessary to access the facilities.
Throughout the day, the feline adoption lounge and the canine adoption area will be operational, where staff will inform about the necessary procedures to formalise the adoption. At 13:00, there will be an individual presentation of several dogs.
The programme includes two activities at 12:00: a talk to recruit volunteers for the centre and a workshop on managing feline colonies led by Montse Casaoliva from Mishilovers. Volunteer opportunities are reserved for adults; families with minors can join the godparent programme, with information available at info@rivanimal.org.
At the same time, at 13:00, a guided tour of the facilities will be offered, lasting one hour. Spaces are limited and require prior reservation via the municipal email cipar@rivasciudad.es.
