The City Council of Aranjuez and the Aranjuez Canoeing School Club are organising this Saturday, 19 September, the competition at La Piragüera. Nine boats from six security and emergency services will compete from 16:30.
The Piragüera of Aranjuez will host this Saturday, 19 September, the Dragon Trophy for Security and Emergency Forces, a competition organised by the City Council of Aranjuez and the Aranjuez Canoeing School Club that will bring together 72 participants spread across nine boats.
The first race is scheduled for 16:30. In the trophy, teams from National Police (2), Local Police (1), Firefighters (2), Guardia Civil (1), SUMMA 112 (2) and Red Cross (1) will compete.
Each boat will consist of a maximum of eight people and the competition will take place in a mixed category. The course will be 200 meters with a turn, a boat turn located halfway along the route, in the section of the Tagus River between La Piragüera and the Barcas Bridge.
To ensure the participation of all teams, all boats will compete at least twice.
The day is envisioned as a sporting event that will bring together representatives from the various security and emergency services on the Tagus River.
