On Saturday, September 19, the Cerro del Telégrafo sports centre will host a paddle tournament where entry consists of donating food for the Rivas Food Recovery Network. There are two categories with 12 pairs each.

The Cerro del Telégrafo sports centre in Rivas-Vaciamadrid will host a charity paddle tournament on September 19 as part of Sports Day. Entry is not paid with money: each participant must provide a food donation for the Rivas Food Recovery Network.

The tournament, organised in collaboration with Run Faster, is divided into two categories. The intermediate level will compete from 10:00 to 12:00, while the advanced level will play from 12:00 to 14:00. Each category accepts a maximum of 12 pairs, and spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested parties must register as a pair, not individually, and indicate their level on the form available on the municipal website inscripciones.rivasciudad.es. Once registrations are closed, the organisation will publish a list with the pairings for the first match.

The competition format is a pool: each match lasts 20 minutes, and a total of six matches are played during the two hours of the tournament. The aim is to move up a court or stay in the first to win the pool. There will be trophies for the top three pairs in each category.

Entry will be a food donation for the Rivas Food Recovery Network,” according to municipal information about the tournament.

Spaces are limited and will be filled until the 24 pairs available in both categories are exhausted. Registrations are formalised through the municipal sports website.
