The Youth Film Club in San Martín de la Vega kicks off this Friday, September 11, with three podcast sessions on the 11th, 18th, and 25th, from 17:00 to 20:00 at Territorio Joven. The activity is free and aimed at young people aged 12 to 25.
The Youth Film Club in San Martín de la Vega begins this Friday September 11 a new course at Territorio Joven with three initial sessions dedicated to podcasting. The meetings will take place on Fridays September 11, 18, and 25, from 17:00 to 20:00, and are open to young people aged 12 to 25.
The proposal, titled “Do you want to voice? Come and record!”, offers a practical experience where participants can step in front of a microphone, experiment with voice-over, and take part in their own recordings. The aim is for young people to overcome their fear of the mic and understand the process of creating an audio programme.
The Department of Youth and Childhood has included this activity as an extension of the audiovisual content worked on during the course. In addition to cinematic language, participants will learn about other ways to tell stories and convey ideas through sound media.
The club was created as a space for young people interested in film, both in front of and behind the camera. Throughout its sessions, films and short films are analysed, types of shots and camera movements are studied, scriptwriting and story construction are worked on, and knowledge about sound, music, and image in audiovisual production is gained.
The Councillor for Childhood and Youth, Paula de Llanos Bustos, has stated that “we want young people to find in Territorio Joven spaces where they can try, create, and discover new interests. Incorporating podcasts into the Film Club allows us to expand the project's possibilities and offer them a very practical experience where they themselves are the protagonists.”
