The Town Hall of San Fernando de Henares launches the Patios Abiertos programme for the 2026-2027 school year at CEIP Guernica and El Jarama, with 20 places at each centre. The activity is free and aims to facilitate family reconciliation.
The Town Hall of San Fernando de Henares, together with the Department of Education of the Community of Madrid, has launched the Patios Abiertos programme for the 2026-2027 school year at CEIP Guernica and CEIP El Jarama. The initiative consists of opening the playground of these centres for the free use of students from the school itself and from other schools in the municipality that are in 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education.
The activity is free and aims to address the need for family reconciliation for families in San Fernando de Henares. Each educational centre will have 20 places and access will be granted through prior and in-person registration at the time of dropping off the child, on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
Registration must be completed in person and daily at the educational centre where the activity takes place. It must be done by the father, mother, or legal guardian of the child. Registration will not be possible in the morning or on previous days: the registration is completed at the moment the child enters the playground.
At that time, a form must be filled out with the following information: name and surname of the guardian and ID number; contact phone numbers; name and surname of the child, age, and educational centre; entry time and pick-up time; and details of the persons authorised for pick-up (name, surname, ID number, and relationship).
The Town Hall recommends reading the section Conditions of Use of Patios Abiertos in the information document before using the service. For more information, the document Information Patios Abiertos 26-27 is available on the municipal website.
