The farmers and hunters of the municipality organise the tasting of somarro, local tomato and porrón that kicks off the patronal festivities. The Town Hall warns that the portions run out quickly.

The residents of Garganta de los Montes are this year kicking off their patronal festivities with a tasting of somarro, local tomato and porrón. The event, organised by the farmers and hunters of the municipality, is held as is customary to welcome the patroness back to the village.

The event is presented as a day of tradition and togetherness where attendees can sample these typical products from the area. The organisers urge residents not to leave it until the last minute.

Don’t leave it until the last minute… You know how quickly they run out! A word to the wise is enough

The warning has been spread by the Town Hall itself through its official channels, where it has also encouraged residents to toast together for the start of the most anticipated days of the year.

The event begins with the tasting and leads into the festive programme in honour of the municipality's patroness.
